Griffonia Simplicifolia is a shrub called the African black bean, where it has long been used in African medicine on the continent. The plant was mainly intended for the relief of existential pain, relieving depression and anxiety. The compound found in the seeds, and more specifically the hormone and one of the main natural neurotransmitters, 5-HTP, is particularly responsible for these properties. 5-Hydroxytryptophan is an organic chemical compound that is a direct precursor to the production of serotonin and melatonin.
