Including green smoothies in your diet will give you a healthy and easy way to get a natural energy boost every day, as they help improve health and protect against infections, as well as help you lose and manage weight. This smoothie is rich in antioxidants and fibre, which are very beneficial for the intestinal tract.
Ingredients:
- A handful of spinach or kale;
- 1/2 banana;
- Juice of 1/2 lemon;
- 1 apple;
- 1/4 large cucumber;
- Herbs - parsley, dill and mint;
- 1 teaspoon spirulina powder;
- water to taste, depending on how thick you want the smoothie to be.
Preparation:
Cut the banana, apple and cucumber into large chunks and place in a blender with the other ingredients. Blend until a smooth paste is formed. You can add ice cubes to the smoothie before serving or while blending to make it more refreshing. Taste good!
